Workshop Series: August Luminary Tea Challenge featuring Tulsi!

Tulsi Workshop Series Begins August 14, 2026! 

Celebrate the wonder of the season by crafting teas with the power of the sun and moon! This month's herb challenge features Tulsi. Over the course of 14 days, you'll prepare and enjoy a week of sun teas followed by a week of moon teas, all made with this beloved herb, and timed to August's full moon. Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, invites us to slow down, and experience life from a place of wonder.

This challenge is brought to you through a collaboration among Gathered Botanicals, A Season of Wellness, and Golden Hour Farms! The tulsi included in your registration from Golden Hour Farms will need to be picked up at Gathered Botanicals, and herbalist Camilla Voelker from A Season of Wellness will send daily support emails and facilitate the online community space throughout the challenge! 

Preparation: The Tulsi that is included in in your registration may be picked up during store hours from Gathered Botanicals August 12-15. There will be a kick-off webinar on the evening of Friday, August 14th (or watch the recording) all about Tulsi and how to make the teas!

August 16-22: From home, each participant makes and enjoys their own tulsi sun tea.

August 23-29: In this second week, participants will make and sip on a daily lunar tea. See if you notice a difference from the sun tea! 

Celebrate: We will end our challenge with community time at Gathered Botanicals where we will discuss our findings, and observations of working with this singular herb. 

Registration reserves your spot and herbs for the challenge! If you’ve been feeling called to get to know herbs one plant at a time, this is a great place to start! You’ll have the added bonus of experiencing this with others, and alongside an herbalist. 

What's included in your registration:

• 4oz dried organic, locally grown Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum). Shipping of herbs is an option if arranged and paid for ahead of time. 

• Webinar Kick-off date: Friday, August 14th from 6-7pm. Webinar will be recorded if you are not able to join live. 

• Final Gathering date with optional live stream: Monday, August 31st from 6-7pm
