Workshop 11/02/24: Bark, Leaves, and Plant Cordage Bracelets with Hickory Nut Farmstead

Saturday November 2, 2024 1:30-3:30pm. 

Come join us for an afternoon workshop and learn how barks, leaves and plant stems in the wold around us can be processed into fiber and crafted into cordage. We’ll work with different plant fibers to craft a bracelet or necklace you can take home, as well as the knowledge to make many more. We’ll touch on the rich and ancient history of cordage making, the breadth of plants that can be allies in weaving, and the different ways that plant-based cordage can be incorporated into your life.

There is free street parking around the shop off of Bradford ave, and College ave. There is one designated handicap parking space in the back of the building. Shop is wheelchair-accessible.
