Workshop: 03/29/25 PEN TO PAPER Writing Workshop with Rebekah Reese and Gabrielle Eisma

Come dive into the world of creative writing in this one-of-a-kind workshop designed to ignite your imagination, develop that old manuscript or story idea, and energize your writing practice. Whether you’ve been writing for years or are just beginning your creative journey, this workshop will guide you through the essentials of storytelling, character building, and scenario crafting, with a unique focus on both words and images. Hosted by a local writer (who illustrates) and illustrator (who writes), this workshop offers a blend of writing prompts, drawing exercises, and collaborative sharing designed to stretch your creativity and open new possibilities.

The workshop will include guided writing exercises, group discussions, and opportunities for participants to share their work in a safe, supportive environment. Unique to this workshop, you will have the option to submit up to ten pages of your manuscript or your story idea before the day of the workshop, and receive personalized feedback on your writing. 

You’ll leave with fresh ideas, new tools to overcome writer’s block, and strategies to develop your writing projects moving forward, and a belly full of home-brewed teas by Gathered Botanicals! Feel free to bring a snack along to the workshop. A light snack will be provided. 

Spaces are limited to 12 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
